UPDATE: Route 221 in Forest reopens following multi-vehicle crash

FOREST, Va. (WDBJ7) A Bedford County highway is back open, after a crash Monday morning that involved multiple vehicles.

It happened along Route 221 in Forest, near the entrance of Forest Middle School. Three vehicles were damaged, including a medical supply van that tipped on its side.

Firefighters had to help remove the driver from the van, but she was not seriously injured. The woman told WDBJ7 she planned to seek medical attention at a nearby urgent care facility.

No other major injuries were reported.

Multiple vehicles involved in a Forest road crash Monday morning.

The Forest Volunteer Fire Department is on the scene of a crash that occurred along Forest Road, according to a social media post.

One vehicle is confirmed to be on its side.
